Description
Semi-solid hydrophobic insulating material made of mineral glass fibre; supplied in slabs.
Recommended Application - External walls (facades).
Insulating material TP 116 made of mineral glass fibre. The thermal and acoustic insulating properties make the material suitable for use in constructions of light claddings of buildings, primarily as internal insulation of external walls of wood or metal based constructions. It can
also be applied as filling in joist ceilings. It is especially convenient for reconstruction of historical buildings. In case of application in the open diffusion systems no moisture barrier needs to be applied on the inside. In compositions it is very well applicable in the skeletal systems of wooden
or metal frames. On the outside the product is coated with a fibrebuilding board on which final plaster stuff or metal cladding is applied. In wooden buildings on the inner side of the product there is a fibre-building board or a plaster board applied too. In non-opened diffusion systems
it is recommended to apply a moisture barrier on the inner side of the thermal insulation. In metal construction it is the metal cladding alone that has the function of the moisture barrier.
